Why do I want to be a vet?

Your dream jobs when you were a child:
When a was a child .. I don't had many dreams, jaja. First, I was be a hairdresser. Then, I was be a computer engineer .. just because in this time I liked play in the computer. This idea changed quickly .. for a long time I hadn't idea about what I wanted to be when adult. Until I decided be a vet.

Other career options that you had:
I really had not more opcion. I wanted to study Veterinary Medicine. Nothing more, nothing less. Just this make me happy.

What made you decide to be a vet:
Well, the obvious is that .. I love animals. For this reason, I want protect and help them. With time I learn that the world is fragil and some people just live for themselves. They can destroy nature but not repaired in this. Animals are so affected with this action, and my interest is help to vulnerable animals. The teachings of my father in this aspect are very important and decisive.

Your experience at university until now:
The university is a world completely different. Everyday you learn something new, it's great! Certain, is hard and exhausting. But .. I hope that each effort will be rewarded.

The kind of job you would like to have:
I want work in conservation and preservation of fauna. With wildlife. I would like to work in "ground". Really don't like to work in a office, jaja. The contact with nature is very important to me.

My favorite Piece of Technology.

My favorite piece of technology is the raaaaadio !! I love it. But!, not any.
My radio must to have for cd's and cassetts, AM, FM and MP3, jajaja.
I use it when I stay at home. Usually the weekend while my sister and I clean the house. I have much music in cassete, for this reason my radio must have cassette player.
My first radio was a gift of my mum when I was a children. It was for my and my sister. Was my first "big" gift. Despite the time, it still works! Is wonderful
Well, how will be my life without it ?? .. BORED!! This element is so important in general. You can listen news, music, interview .. a lot of things.
To end, nothing more relaxing that .. get home and listen my favourite program of radio in Radio Uno!

31 Minutos: this was a successful program!. My favourite part was "la nota verde" with Juan Carlos Bodoque .. they teach you things about nature and hurt to it. Ah!, they are puppets !!

Recomiendo Chile: this is a program about foooood!, Professional chefs travel by Chile and rescue ancestral recipes of our mams and granma. It's a excellent program!

Frutos del País: similar to "Tierra Adentro", this program is about Chile and his tradition and culture. Obviously .. an excellent program.

What's my opinion .. ?

What is your opinion about owning an exotic pet?
I don't agree with owning an exotic pet, mainly because they haven't climate conditions and habitat own for them .. I believe that animals should live free in nature, this is really your home and we, humans, we should't interfere in it.

What is your opinion about child labor?
I completely disagree with child labor! I believe that child must be child, that is, they have to play, sleep, study, eat, enjoy .. live rightly!. Is so sad when you see a child working and around, children playing.
This shown how unjust and unequal of our society.

What is your opinion about killing stray dogs?
KILLING STRAY DOGS IS NOT THE SOLUTION!!. This is the easy and quick form, but not the correct. Education and sterilization are really politics publics. And people must be responsable.

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana?
I think this is a good idea! Some people use marijuana to try illnesses and feel better :) Besides, alcohol and smoking are also drugs, and are legal .. and a large negotiated. The legalization of marijuana would decrease traffic and perhaps even help decrease the use of hard drugs, among a lot of other factors.
We are free to choose!

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?
I absolutely agree on this. I believe the abortion decision is not an easy subject, much less for the person who does it, but no one knows better than her .. what she feels, what she wants, what she thinks. It's her life, her choice. It would be more irresponsible to give birth to someone who does not want or do not have the conditions to keep or not keep living.
*I know my opinion may be controversial :/

Los Prisioneros, great band !

Music is fantastic, the expression of soul, like dance. I listen to many types of music and is so difficult choose just one band or singer.
One of the band that I like is Los Prisioneros. They are amazing !! They was a popular chilean rock band of the 80s. They formed in 1979 by Jorge González (composer, vocalist and bass), Miguel Tapia (drums and keyboards) y Claudio Narea (electric guitar and vocals). They met at Liceo 6 de San Miguel in Santiago.
It is considered one of the biggest rock bands in LatinAmerica, whose main characteristic was his lyrics full of cutting social criticism and Latin Americanist.
This time I choose "No necesitamos banderas", because is a song about LatinAmerican unity, integration and liberation against politics party system. Besides, I love their sound !! 
This is a presentation in Festival de Viña del Mar, 2003. A politics and remembered presentation.

Who am I ... ?

My name is Nadia Mabel Gáldamez Roco. I was born on March 30th, 1993 in Viña del Mar, Chile.

At elementary school I studied at Instituto Educacional Padre Alberto Hurtado in Huechuraba. Later I completed High School at Liceo Nº1 de Niñas, Javiera Carrera in Santiago. Now I study Veterinary Medicine in Universidad de Chile. 

I live with my mom Elizabeth, my sister Elizabeth, our 8 cats .. Cucha Cucha, Negri, Loqui, Tacha and well ... the rest don't have names yet, jajaja, and 2 dogs, Orillas and Cufi. I love them so much. They give me peace. 

I don't really have a hobbie, but I like listen to music and travel. Stay with my family and friends. I like go to parks and natural places .. it's so relaxing.
